Masai/Defender rivet windows for panel conversion

Post by wolfbus.uk »

Been looking to sort out my little window problem for 6 months now, & for my birthday I was bought a Westfalia thermal sliding window.

Trouble is it doesn't fit!

Mine is a LHD 16" syncro panel conversion. I am simply trying to find a window that will fit the side loading door that is an opener. I havent been able to use it for camping at all as my dog needs an opening window for travel.

The aperture I have is approximately 1080 x 435mm and it is not recessed obviously.

Even if the Westfalia window was right I am not that sold on it to be honest.

Are there ANY OTHER CHOICES for panel vans than Seitz/ Leisure windows direct?

Also do people fit 900 x 400 Seitz windows in the door or 1000 x 450? the latter seeming a little to big?

I have been thinking because I can't seem to get anything sorted for the window to go down the Landrover route and have Masai fit a studded aluminium window on the van. Has anyone else done this. Will it look okay on a syncro?

They seem really good people to deal with just wanted some opinions before I go ahead.

Cheers :ok
