Van details: 1.9 DG engine, 65 amp/hour alternator, 1984, crap wing mirrors
Description: Land Rover part numbers required to purchase (Manf. part #) & the shim required (who, how much)
History: Ever since VW designed them, on a fag packet

Those who have completed the upgrade, could you provide the above please.

don't dick around with ebay just order from here i bought aftermarket mirror heads from main dealer
for 8 euro each

I've had the brackets made by Rowlesy and got them powder coated although you can just spray them up if you want. I bought the Bearmach type Defender mirrors off of eBay for £28 posted - here's a couple of pics:

Cheers for the tip off, and 300CE and others for the info, think I will make my own brackets, ordered some mirrors today.

another tip that some people do or dont is dont fit both mirrors at 90 degrees. on the landrover 90's/110's the passenger side is pulled back to the 45 degree position to get a closer perspective of the whole side of the truck and the road.

mine on the doka and now the twin slider are fitted this way and i can see from the rear wheel up to the fresh air vent and of course the road and path down that side.

Very pleased with these Landy Mirrors, a nice notched setting for 0 45 90 deg settings

Hi all,
This is my first post, so please be gentle with me.
My T25 is suffering from crap door mirror syndrome, I am wanting to replace them with the defender mirrors mentioned.
Please would someone tell me how I purchase the brackets from rowsey,assuming they are still available.
I have ordered the mirrors.
