luggage rack to roof spoiler help

Post by jack-d »

I am changing the luggage rack to a roof spoiler (the atlantic/California type), I know that there will be some holes to fill, but I am just wondering if any has fitted one, to get some tips, I can see that the rear part that sits underneath the elevating roof is just screwed down to the roof, but the front part has flat brackets with holes attached to the front parts of the spoiler, so need to drill some holes in the roof, but what is the best way to line them up for drilling. The brackets don't come off, and very tricky to see underneath when placed on top to get them exactly in the right place. Is there any measurement out there for me to go from?

Thanks
Jack
