Re: Ajitvagon
well the more complex items need better coverage and explanation, also I actually look at them again myself and it does help to work stuff out when your away from the job itself so to speak. think of it this way , if every job was not only identical but the repair was done in an identical way then i would be faced with an almost continuose repair , it would be like you doing a job on your van and never finnishing, just going round it and doing it again, soon pi** you off that would.
so i make it more interesting for me...

Ahhh well that'd explain the faint whiffs of petrol we thought we could smell every now and again!

Re: Ajitvagon
im tempted to drop the tank and check the top also the vent/breather pipes have been made up, not saying they are wrong but they are not original nor the correct spec..

Nice work Mike,
you've got a lot done over the last few days...
the rubber around the filler was perished on mine but not a patch on that raggety thing. & from the look of that panel around the filler I imagine the post is going to be a bit like the lacey crepes i'm enjoying here in frenchy france. nice seeing that bit as i had my head in there so recently...

Re: Ajitvagon
well .decided to start unpicking stuff
good thats out the way, now lets see whats hiding
lower half is original but i want it out the way as there is bad rust in the seam
not too bad
these holes are the cut spots, not a problem
a little work needed
got the blaster fired up
the bottom of the B post is fair, the very underside has an issue like the other side but thats not going to cause any problems
brushed a bit of coating straightaway as the rust dont hang about, and it doesnt hinder work
lower bit of arch is good so not much to do there
accept refit it........
this will require a little more consideration
I will have a think about the best way I fancy sorting it.
gave the front defo panal a good see-ing to
and now coated
Glad this side is done, its aleways harder removing all the bits you dont want and arriving at a base from which you can make good which to me is the easy enjoyable bit, must say I have found the best use yet for wood butchers tools, =sealant removal...

thats overexposed? not on p bucket it int. any how you will also note that the fuel tank is out, pipes were skanky and all is not as it should be so good call, also dont much like welding around the stuff,,
will be having a think about the filler,, the sill fits nice after an hour of messing so thats ready to fire on, all in all its nice to do.

Re: Ajitvagon
wonder how you will feel when yours gets chopped up cos it really is just as a taster, you have as you know had a Genuine rear wing fitted to the osr, they did a nice join to the arch
but bodged it under the slider and worse look here, bu**er will have to come apart
you could have a trip or a fall against that , what posseses folk.
