Used that for years. Was £2.75. Went up when oil prices rose. Will it go down? Will it $8%£....

Help please, Wilco don't stock it near me, GSF have 35% off but they only have Vetec that is GL 4 and Eurocarparts have 50% off online but their stupid site wont let me look as you have to add your details and it comes back with nothing suitable, can I use GL 5?

If you go into Wilco and ask they will order it from their warehouse and get it in for you. Usually arrives within 2/3 working days. You do need to pay up front though. :ok

Aidan would say don't use GL5 I think.

You can get navigate to the oils on the eurocarparts site, by clicking on 'accessories' then 'lubricants & fluids'.
No need to enter your reg.

Agreed. 1st to 2nd gearchange is much slicker, especially in the cold weather, since changing to the genuine VW stuff. It was about £25 for 4 x 1L bottles.

I'm intrigued as to what VW supplied you with, part number would be useful

I can't speak for the other guy but can tell you I used 060 726 A2 which is a GL4 mineral SAE75W90 costing £5.77 + VAT per litre bottle. They also had the same grade in fully synthetic, which was recommended, but it was about 3 times the price.

The best oil seems to be down to personal preference, but everyone agrees regular changes are justcas important.
