Upgrading your radiator cooling

Post by slobbo »

Well just finished replacing the old 2 speed fan with a much better Spal fan. Massive difference. I used a 16" Spal fan and swapped the temperature switch from a two stage switch to a single stage which opens sooner and shuts off at a lower temperature. The fan appears to be quieter as well.

The reason for doing the swap is because the vr6 runs hot and uses a water cooled oil cooler so I want to see if the fan makes a difference.
Cheers
Rob.
