Crank seal failure
I have a 1.9D AEF in my T25. The crankshaft seal behind the clutch has failed twice. The second one lasted a 100 miles! Can anyone suggest where I look for the problem? Some more info on the engine: it has only done 52K miles, it has the 1.7K oil pump. I am wondering if the pump is delivering too much pressure or if there is breathing issue. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Re: Crank seal failure
A couple of ideas:
Compression check - see if it is low because of worn rings causing excess crankcase pressure
Try running the engine with the oil filler / breather off - is it breathing heavily
Excessive crankshaft endfloat

Thanks 937Carrera,
It does not seem to be breathing heavily, I will check end float.
