The short shift I fitted just raises the height of the gear change rod above the connection box. So can't see why that wouldn't work on any van.

Hi

I have a 1990 Autohomes with a 1.9 petrol and 5 speed box. I fitted the short shift kit from Brickwerks and it works a treat. It managed to reduce the travel of the gear stick as it raises the pivot point of the stick.

https://www.brickwerks.co.uk/quickshift-kit-t3.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

A really easy mod to carry out.

Hope this helps

I have looked into the kits from brickworks but the diesel linkage is below the floor, it's a totally different set up to petrol gear change. I can't find any technical info on installing short shift for diesels

it can be fitted to TD shell vehicles with the raised floor but it's a bit more difficult as you are working on the false floor below the real floor though the hole in the floor so more fiddly and less easy access, but no more difficult than replacing the gearstick pivot assembly
