High battery reading when running

Hi all

Not been on in ages I hope you’re all well.

Think the alternator is goosed getting a reading of 16.48 V with the engine running, changed the regulator and still same reading.

Any suggestions welcome ???

But its the regulators job to regulate, so its not the alternator that will be at fault.

How and where are you measuring it?

Take the multimeter off the AC setting?

Worth doing.......... and then if it's "wrong" change the battery in the DVM. A low battery often gives duff readings

To add, Iremoved the leisure battery ages ago, would this make any difference.
