Hi All
I was just trying to find a service schedule for a 1.9 DG and couldn't really find anything online. I was just wondering if anyone has a list of things they do and when? It would also be useful to know how often the timing should be checked? The only thing I found online was this https://www.gowesty.com/tech-article-details.php?id=293 this seems to be american focus and recommending a different oil to what I normally use. (I don't want to open the oil debate up here!)
Many thanks

Re: 1.9 DG service Schedule
This is what I do
Every week
Oil level and coolant level both tanks, tank with cap on should be brim full
Every year min preferably twice a year ( more if you do silly mileage but most of us don't)
Oil and filter change
15W 40 Mineral is spec I now use 15W50 as it's better for hot oil pressure and these engines suffer from that being low.

Oil filer is MANN W719/12

every year
Timing check
Aux belt change
https://www.brickwerks.co.uk/aux-belt-1 ... lt-wp.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Spark plug check
fuel pipe inspection.
may as well throw in an air filter.
Search for coolant or oil leaks.
General inspection of engine including wiring.
Every 2-3 years
Replace coolant G12 or G13 equivilant 50% mix
New Spark plugs
probably a fuel filter also.
