Front Brake Disk replacement how to
Is there a good write up of a ‘how to’ with pictures anywhere for replacing the front brakes? Disks and pads an, presumably, bearings too. It’s an ‘89 1.9DG.
I found the caliper replacement guide in the Wiki and I have a Haynes manual but I just wondered if anyone had done a straight forward ‘you need this and do this’ for a simple soul like me?
Any tips very much appreciated.

Thanks itchyfeet,
I had read that with interest... my technical skills are pretty woeful so a hand-holding guide was sought. [WINKING FACE]

It may be fairer to say that I am meticulously precise and exacting and only undertake things when I’m certain that I know everything about how to do it. No knack, just research. [WINKING FACE]

Re: Front Brake Disk replacement how to
Rather than hoping for a how to guide for nervous mechanics why not read through the manuals and then come asking questions on points you are concerned about.
I will start you off
Q how do I get the hub nut grease covers off.
A http://forum.club8090.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=168454" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Q how do I get the brake carrier off
A brake carrier bolts are very tight need a 2 foot breaker bar to get them undone and a big torque wrench to do them up. torque setting in haynes.

A ‘guide for nervous mechanics’ would likely sell very well. ;D
