Back again with another problem...
This one is with removing the oil pump from the crankcase on an Aircooled 2.0ltr CU engine. (engine is removed)
So, I've removed the four nuts and I've been levering against the two tabs at the same time as instructed in the Haynes manual, but it won't move.
How much effort does it take?
I thought this was going to be another straight forward step. Wrong again.
Hope you can all help out again.
Cheers.

Re: Oil Pump Removal (CU Engine)
The type 4 ( 411 / 412 / CU) oil pump is a different design to the WBX. It's an all in one unit with no cover plate, so the WBX tool doesn't fit.
It's a while since I did one, but it might be easier if you release the tension by undoing some of the crankcase bolts around the area.

Re: Oil Pump Removal (CU Engine)
Thanks guys,
I’ll try releasing the crank bolts. See how that goes.
I didn’t think it would be such a tight fit.
Cheers.

Re: Oil Pump Removal (CU Engine)
Released the crankcase bolts.
Pump came out no problem.
Thanks for the advice 937carrera.
