oil filler leak

Post by JackE »

I think I have a leak from my oil filler pipe.

Image

the photo was taken after I cleaned it up.

I tired to push the plastic section down but then looked on line and released that I don't think it is meant to go all the way down to the larger section of metal pipe https://www.vwheritage.com/025115302-oi ... 1-vw-spare

Any tips would be great at the moment I don't think it is having much of an impact on losing oil.

There's an O ring inside you have probably dislodged it.
There's no oil pressure in the crank case so not much will ever be lost
