Good evening folks
A friends van has a sump full of water and gooey oil, cooling system empty, the van starts runs and sounds sweet as a nut , is it likely to be the barrel Seals or something else
It’s a 1.9Dg

Most likely either bottom barrel seal, or cylinder head stud snapped (the ones inside the rocker cover) and coolant running down pushrod tubes back to case.

pop the rocker covers off and you will soon see if it's a snapped head stud, that's what mine was.
Give the nuts a good pull and tug to the side with some pliers, seen them stuck in with silicone before.
