So we bought a t25 (1983) at the beginning of the week and it has been a steep but 'fun' interesting learning curve.
We found out our fuel gauge was stuck at zero and today we had a coolant line leak - so fixed, retooled up with water (for now)
and all of a sudden the fuel gauge starts working, and looks to have tracked the petrol accurately all the way home.
Any ideas? I don't see how the two or linked : /
coolant = fixed fuel gauge ????

Coincidence rather than causation I would guess. Don’t go too long with water. You get fairly early onset of corrosion from what I hear and that can be catastrophic in these engines. You need between 40% and 50% Concentrated G11 coolant in your system so my advice is to get a tester or flush and replace it.
