Thanks for offer Paul. I do have a spare crank. But need to check its the same. I was informed its from a 1988 DF1900. So not sure it will. Friend in Biggin Hill can remove and refit gear.

Please give me your views on camshaft wear. Should l reuse with a new ring gear? Or junk this and get a good solid second hand one.

it's well worn but it still has life left, it really depends on the price for a gear or a complete cam, most people are not swapping gears so you might get a cam for the same price as a gear.

have a look what gear size it it?

number stamped in

I'll have a look at that in more detail tomorrow, do you have a pic of your removed crank same scale?

Has anyone got a photo of a knackered camshaft as reference? I would have chucked this in the bin.

Meanwhile will PM Andrew at Campershack once l check number on camshaft gear ring

only jokin :D

it's worn but cheap chinese repro cam won't out live this one

(edited) OEM cams are available as Andrew points out but very expensive and out of your budget.

No OEM 2.1 cams left

DF crank is identical. There are only two WBX cranks, 69mm for 1.9s and 76mm for 2.1s.
Don't buy a new crank gear from heritage, they're not fit for purpose.
I'd bin the cam. New +1 and +2 still available, but not cheap! (+2 €369!)

If you know your gear size, I might have a DG cam that's a bit better. Perhaps something in between good enough to regrind, and bad enough to bin. What lifters are you going to use? New hydros from BW?
