I have a recurring stutter on the van, having driven round for a while I think its the second throttle opening (or not) that is causing it.
Under light loads it feels like the second throat shuts off a tad too early, and opens again a tad too late. Apply a bit more throttle and it behaves. Also, increased load (like a hill) makes it behave itself much better, I think due to increased manifold vacuum sucking on the opening mechanism.
The vacuum can holds pressure, as does the pipe, so I think its the setting rather than the parts.
I have looked at the manual for setting, but am confused by what I'm supposed to measure - it just seems to show the end of the adjustable rod next to the ball it attaches to. Could anyone explain slowly using small words what I'm supposed to measure?
Might just wind it out a couple of turns and see what happens!

Re: 2E3 Second stage throttle
You need to bend the prong on the one side so that the second throttle will not open at all until the first throttle is open to the end of the plastic cam. Then I think there should be a 0.04mm clearance on the other prong so that the whole thing does not jam up!
Make sure everything is smooth before you finish. The second throttle being open at tick-over is often the problem when the engine ticks over too fast, although this can also be caused by an air leak!
