What goes tiny clonk

Post by Da dan »

I have a clonking that comes and goes. ??? It’s a tin y clonk that seems to reduce but not go when I depress the clutch. I had it in the lakes back in the summer and it disappeared for about 600 miles. Then came back and goes again. Checked wheels, cv joints etc. No excessive movement. Just thinking what else it could be? 1.9 dg 5 speed

possibly a broken spring in the clutch friction plate if you listen at the bellhousing you may be able to pinpoint that is the source of the noise.
