I'm pretty sure that the rods are the same.

gearbox mount is 5 speed specific and engine specific so if wbx then you'll need a 5 speed wbx mount, I have several here, rear linkage stays the same if you are only changing gearbox

Thanks Paul, thanks Aidan,

I didn't know the 5 speed mount was different but it came with the box which was off a WBX and going on a WBX, I took it off and put it with my 4 speed spare mount to I will have to try and work out which is which now

looks like I have everything but the front 5sp gear linkage rod then.

Unless you know the condition of your 5 speed ‘box ,I am wondering if whilst you have it off the van you should remove the front end cover ( which is not much trouble to remove although thrust washers and a couple of gear wheels might fall out) to reassure yourself of its condition. You would be able to see the mainshaft ball race ,possibly spot any movement in the case or pitting. You would be able to see if 1st gear and its needle bearings have been damaged as a result of a worn pinion bearing.
You might be able to get an idea if there is any endfloat in the pinion bearing . Dial gauge? (Not sure if this is wise or possible)
From what I understand a worn pinion bearing causes pinion shaft endfloat which causes 1st gear and it’s needle bearings and maybe the shaft bearing surface,s to be damaged without obvious noise or signs that all is not well.
