Hello folks, long time no see.
I had to abandon my project for a while but I am back into it now and keen to get the ol girl back on the road.
Got a 2.0l Aircooled and managed to pick up a pair of DRLA 40 carbs.
My friendly local tune-up chap said I need to modify the manifolds so that I can add the balancing pipe like on the original solex carbs. Apparently he is bloody good at what he does and is experienced with dubs, so maybe I should just trust him, but I want to get other opinions // confirmation before I drill into these brand shiny new bits of expensive metal, and bash bits of pipe into them.
Cheers!

Yes you should always fit a balance pipe, and unless you want to fit a motorised vac pump you need a tapping for the servo,
