JX and KY Alternator Difference

Post by The Hairy Camper »

So I got my hands on a spare alternator today. I wanted a spare just in case, but i was also looking for one that can accept a rev counter connection (W Clip?) once i do my 1Y swop.

The JX Alternator (the one i'm holding) has a little black box with a wire, does anyone know what this is? Pretty sure both are 65 Amp.

Any information is appreciated.

Cheers!
