Why did you say the oil pressure was low, seems OK to me, depending on oil temp ?

I'll just turn them in for now and see.

The oil pressure was always ok pal.
It's just numptydick here let the oil line to the gauge empty out.

So here's why the other engine was pulled

I remember the scare when Kev's 'adapted' wiring came off that one on a particularly hot day on the Autoroute near Strasbourg 9 years ago

Erm..no
It came with a good zorst so with funds limited I used it in true Yorkshire stylee.

I can still remember the heat emitting from the engine bay after 3 or 4 hours driving in that heat and whipping the lid off !

I'll get you back on track as I wasn't around when you did your wiring, sounds like it was fun though

I'm glad the oil pressure's OK after all.

Did you happen to measure the endfloat before taking the flywheel off ?

Looks like it's coming from the seal
I had a flywheel that was not grooved but leaked because it wan not shiny, the surface was bad.

need to pull seal out to see what shims are in there, the later case has a different set up and if you don't use the right larger diameter 0.4mm shim with 'retainer' = oil thrower it will get alot more oil around the seal and so more will tend to leak more.

Could also just be a shagged seal

yes metal housing = syncro engine.
