Gearbox linkage.
How is it disconnected from the gearbox?
AGG 2.0L 8V. (Golf GTi MkIII)

13mm nut on the relay lever but this can stay on if you like
two bolts through the plate holding the bush

don't need to disconnet linkage to remove engine?

never had a problem myself and had engines in and out several times

Recon heads, and new jacket seals.
Engine was a goodun from Switzerland.
Very Good OP, and excellent compression.
No oil leaks.

Ian I could do with a few (8) M8X45 or 50 stainless bolts/washers if you have some knocking about?
And a few M8X30 perhaps?

Yes a bit rushed I suppose.
Yes it is Simons.

I think I did this at the right time.

Lots of warning signs, bit concerned about the shaft play, will that shag the seals?

That's what the spigot bearing's there for ... to support the input shaft.
