Jx 1.6 TD injectors

Hi quick question can diesel injectors weep I am sure the 3rd in from timing belt end has a weep got a liquid all over the head looks like oil but not sure as oil good on dip stick also water good , running well 100 miles at weekend ran well at 60 - 65mph on A1 hoping to go out next weekend but if a diesel leak could be dangerous!!! Any thought s cheers Danny

Likely be the the small black pipes which run between the Injectors( sure they have a name but my mind has gone blank)these always seem to leak after a few years.its also really expensive for what it is.

It may be the leak off pipe for that injector. The bits of pipe that daisy chain each injector
If that makes sense.

Cheers for all the replies I changed the leak off pipes last year do I need a special tool to tighten the injectors? Can you buy new injectors?? Thanks Danny

You need a special injector socket that has internal relief cuts to clear the leak off spigots in order to remove or tighten the injectors. If you need new injectors most people buy them refurbished on exchange, although that might not be necessary in your case. It might just be a case of taking them out, cleaning them up and reinstalling with new flame traps (injector washers), as these are a single use part.
