yes that's the right parts but first find out where the leak is, those pipes look dry

I’ll have her running tomorrow trying to look for the leak I’m really hoping it was just a one off after just being to the petrol station maybe parking on some spilt petrol. The smell is gone now but it’s been sat for about 2 hours no leak visible under the van or on any pipes on the underside so it’s engine hatch off and have a poke around in there

Sometimes when we first start the van if we sit there for a minute it smells like petrol but I always think it’s the expansion tanks under the front wheel arches

Looks like the valve is the wrong way round as well, the arrow should point to the tank.

I can't think of a reason for the expansion tanks to leak just because the engine is running. The return pipe on the other hand will have petrol flowing through it* when the engine is running. When the pump isn't running, the flow through that pipe stops, and any wet fuel on the outside will dry very quickly, so you need to investigate with the engine running.
You need to get to the bottom of this in case it's a leak anywhere near the exhaust.
*or at least there'd be pressure inside it if Bigherb's right about the valve being the wrong way round.

Hi, I had a petrol leak a while back from braided hose in the engine , which disguised the perished tubing. Looks like a short section of braided hose in your photo? Petrol's such a distinctive smell - don't think you'll be mistaken about smelling it.
Hope you can trace the leak easily, get it sorted and get away on your planned trip!
