Clutch master cylinder leak

Post by mbcamper »

Abandoned a trip today as my brake warning light came on. It wasn't kidding the fluid in the brake master cylinder was indeed low.

I've investigated some more and found brake fluid on the drivers cab floor and I believe the source to be the flexible feed pipe from the brake master cylinder to the clutch master cylinder. It's all very wet but feels like it is coming from the back of the inlet to the clutch master cylinder. The flexible pipe is held on with a jubilee clip and but the pipe on the clutch master cylinder feels like it wobbles. I can't pull it off, but it doesn't feel right. I've not dismantled any further yet.

What is likely to be the failure here? It is just a replacement clutch master cylinder needed?

Thanks

Get a decent one from Brickwerks , they also sell the rubber pipe to it aswell, its a good fit and you shouldn't need any clips to secure it.
