Replacement rear trailing arm
I need to replace my rear right wishbone / trailing arm.
Any recommendations where to buy and pros and cons of price and quality to look out for?

Re: Replacement rear trailing arm
I just got a new pair from BW, can’t knock the quality or the price, came with bushes but the spring rubber was separate. You’ll need new bolts, washers nuts as yours will have seized in the bushes probably and need cutting out. Go nice and careful with a min diameter 125mm thin cutting disc. I had 115 and it was just too small fortunately three of the fasteners sheared off when I tried to turn them.

New- the silver and black disc came separately

Re: Replacement rear trailing arm
I have done both sides in the last 2 months. IMHO, if your budget goes to it buy new, fit once and it's done. BW do the arms and the bolt kits, which I got.
Also, you probably have to get a rear wheel alignment done after as you have messed around with the rear geometry.

Crunchy Nigel? Replaced one myself with a very good used one but new is the ideal. Ernie doing it? Good to hear you still love the old thing

Don't forget to waxoyl the inside before you fit them.

Replacement rear trailing arm
The best thing, if you're refurbishing a second hand set in particular, is if you can get them galvanised before painting. Then they'll outlast the rest of the van.

Re: Replacement rear trailing arm
Also, providing the pivot points are in good fettle, its possible to flip them over too. ie a left one will fit right.
