Standard 1.9 dg from the devon.

Early 1.9 DG (reconditioned Vege).

The van was manufactured in 1990 so has has the wiring for the second oil pressure switch. Took me a long time to realise it has just been earthed to the engine block.

My one, next project to replace the engine coolant steel pipes into Stainless.
Yes I know could do with a wipe down!

I can't believe how much that engine bay looks like an early Golf Gti, K-jet with an extra cylinder :D

Looks like early cooling system botched onto a Pierburg equipped engine.
Or an early DF van "converted" to a later DG engine.
Do I see a blanked-off coolant hose on the early thermostat housing by #4 cylinder?
