2.0cu knocking noise rockers??

Started the van up for the first time tonight to rotate it started well but making a knocking noise from what sounds like the head only prominent on idle drove well round the block and left to idle a while few revs etc but noise stays still but only at idle although quitens straight after revs any thoughts? Oil pressure light isn’t on when running. I hope it’s not bottom end as already got enough to do to it

Probably just a hydraulic tappet that hasn't pumped up properly yet.... tap, tap, tap, tap

That was my first thought but how long do they take to pressurise?

Can be up to 20 minutes spirited driving I think...... best do a forum search or wait for someone with the actual experience.

Ah quite a while, yeah I hope it is something like that as it definitely wasn’t knocking before being stood

If you haven't adjusted or changed anything, it'll be drain down on one or more of the tappets. Mine had stood for over a year out of the bus, after adjusting the clearances (one was very loose) and an oil change, within 5 minutes it sounded like a like a well oiled sewing machine
