Hi all,

I thought I'd change the diesel fuel filters, just as I have no idea how old they are! I've looked at brickwerks and can't find them listed. Can anybody make any recommendations on where I can get some?

I’m in need of two, as I presume is standard on the 1.6JX. Should they be identical?

I am no diesel expert but I have never seen a twin filter/water seperator set-up like that in a car.

Looks like a non-standard fuel filter setup. Best thing would be to replace both although I imagine, if it was being done regularly, that you could bin the left filter then move the right filter over and just replace one. Just google the number on the existing and replace both like for like.

OK, cheers. I'll just get the codes and replace each. I've no idea why there are two, generally my policy is 'if it's not broke, don't fix it"!

Also looks like two feeds in doesn’t it?

There's only one feed from the tank which goes to the left hand filter then the output from that goes to the second filter and then on to the injection pump. The other pipe is the 'leak off' return from the injection pump to the tank.

I'm guessing its a bodge to get away with a rusty tank

Rust. What's that?

That's a lash up, none standard.
Lots more joints, lots more places to leak or draw air in, a case of standard is best in this respect.
