Post by Itsblue »

Hi guys I’m in the process of refurbing the gear lever ball socket assembly

Could someone with an early 4 speed lift up the rubber boot and tell me if the high side of the base plate is on the drivers side Uk van , took it out ages ago and didn’t take a pic

Thanks in advance :ok

That was a long 30 minutes

I think it’s meant to be the higher side is the opposite side to the drivers seat - mine is lhd and the high side is on the right. If it was the other way around I think it would push the gear lever away from me
