Hi,
I'm replacing the seals on this caliper (photos in a minute) which I believe is a Teves (however the mark indicates VW so I'm not 100% sure).
After a week-long battle with a piston refusing to shift I finally got it out today by soaking with dismantling fluid, refitting to the hydraulics and blocking back the free-moving piston.
My question is: has anyone has successfully used the JK "caliper rebuild kit"https://www.justkampers.com/251-698-471 ... -1986.html? I fitted this kit and used the retaining spring however on first movement of the pistons the dust seals popped off!
The original seals have a metal (?) ring integrated with the dust seal to ensure a tight fit.
Any pointers appreciated..
Matteo

Ahh! Thanks BigHerb. Hmm wonder why the dust seal seems all too ready to pop-off. I'm going to try again this evening.
