Hi guys,
So my bus as passed its first MOT in ten years. Planning on taking it for a fairly short hike (50 miles round trip) and I'm just checking everything over - this is because the engine was supposedly rebuilt (2.0 cu Aircooled) last year - looks all clean and shiny.. yet I had to change all my pushrod tube seals (two of the tubes were even split!!) so I'm doubting what has and hasn't been done!
Anywho I'm new to Aircooled so I'm trying to figure out if I have all the tinware. On top is looking good, underneath I suspect is missing parts judging from some diagrams I found on the interwebs, hoping any of you lovely folks can give me your opinion based on some terrible photos I took??
Bonus question for extra points.. what is this connector disconnected here?
T25 tinware missing?

Re: T25 tinware missing?
The loose connector is a port for TDC sensor, not needed or used really.
Your oil cooler isn't secured to the fan housing as far as I can see.
Can't see any missing tin.
Is The vac line T broken?

Re: T25 tinware missing?
Ok thanks know I can leave that plug alone then.
Well spotted - definitely missing a bolt there. The other three threads around the oil cooler mounting - they supposed to have anything attached to them?
That vac T is intact but has one part just open - normal?
Cheers for your help fella!

Re: T25 tinware missing?
Just leave the port.
Vac should be connected or plugged, not sure which line that is.
The other bolt holes are vacant on mine so not sure what they are for.

The tin around the oil cooler looks to have been chopped, it should touch the head, I may have a spare

Thought it was too good to be true - a spare would be spot on!
Question is why was it chopped in the first place..

Re: T25 tinware missing?
Your query and pictures have alerted me to the fact I am missing two pieces of tinware...
Picture number three in your series shows the sump and two plates either side beneath the cylinders that bolt onto the underside of the heat exchangers, I need to get these. Does anyone know where I could obtain them?
Also I need to obtain the thermostat with its bracket.
I realise the latter is like finding rocking horse droppings, but if I don't ask.....
