Crank Pulley ORing
Hi Guys!
I got a reconditioned engine and I'm in the process of moving stuff cross to the new engine but have stopped for the following reason; I think I'm missing an ORing that sits within the housing for the crankshaft pulley.
So the bluw arrow points to the old engine and a rubber oring and the gree narrow points to the recon with no oring. The kit didn't come with an oring in the bag.
Does anyone know where I can buy a new oring from as I'm having trouble finding one...

The triple pulley set up has an o ring 36mmx4mm so either you have a triple pulley, ie power steering and or air con fitted or at some point your old engine came from a bus that had it
N 900 784 01 is the VW part number but any seal company or on ebay you should be able to find one if you need it

Re: Crank Pulley ORing
Behind the O ring is an oil thrower disc, don't forget to remove this from your old engine, you may need to remove the new front oil seal to fit this.

Re: Crank Pulley ORing
if you don't have aircon or power steering you can always bin the triple pulley for a sensible single pulley
