Is it possible to change the tumblers in a early boot lock to fit a late key ?

T25's used the same (N profile) key throughout, later ones just had a rubber top.

should be fine the key stayed the same type N, the black plastic covered key is just the posh one, if you have the original key it should have a N on it too, the ones from key shops generally aren't marked
