Having cheered you up I might have to bring you back down again. :(

I took a look at his website and he has images of a normal dyno run which has the run down resistance, but then another graph is produced which is flywheel power. I'm not used to seeing that on a separate graph, I normally see rollers and flywheel on the same graph. I think you should ask him to be sure

It felt great while it lasted 937!

I must say he didn’t say if it was at flywheel but I will ask him.

Please do.

I just checked your signature, you are using the same Weber carb as me I think. From my own non RR analysis, I reckoned that I had about 70 peak HP at the flywheel on my hybrid engine, but that "might" be with a DF cam

Weber is a 34 DAT (refurbed about 18 months ago) & I think they’re all the same mate. They’re a great carb in my opinion.

She was running a bit lean but that has all been sorted as well.

E D I T: Just spoken to him at the 70bhp is at the flywheel. :ok

Did you end up rejetting the carb? Mines not been on a rolling road but swapping out the jets made a huge difference to driveability.

Hi Ash, nope, haven’t rejetted it mate but had bookmarked your post when it you originally posted it up just in case! You should get it on a rolling road when you can as would be interesting to see the results - glad that she’s still running well though :ok

May do at some point, would have to be somewhere I can get the hightop in though. Seriously though for the price of a few jets I'd say its worth a play, I think you would be surprised at the difference.

I used them, think I ordered through ebay though as it worked out slightly cheaper.

Hi, good news on the rolling road and just a thought re the weber carb, despite the nay sayers to this carb I have just rebuilt and changed back to the pierburg. I have been using only LPG for a few years now and have an air fuel meter linked to a lambda sensor. The Weber starts from cold even in winter on gas with no issues at all but has always run lean most of the time unless under full throttle on the motorway, the pierburg runs mostly in the middle between lean and rich but does not like to run smoothly from cold on gas. The pierburg does appear to allow the engine to breathe better at top end and the motorway performance seems to prove this , but the Weber drives much smoother on gas and petrol despite being 'cruder' in the apparent fuel air ratio, having spent the last weekend tweeking the pierburg the drive on gas and petrol is less consistant than the ease of setting up the Weber. Have a trip to Cornwall next week and will see if there is any noticable improvement in mpg.

I’m at work today and ebay is blocked.

Looking at gssparkplug.com you want DMTR main and air jets. Idle jets are listed under DGAS.
