oil contamination
I have a 1989 1.9 watercooled dg engine t25. I had to remove exhaust box to weld it, also the inter pipe. I noticed quite a lot of oil in this pipe plus some in the box itself. I have welded and refitted the box, on starting up it leaks oil from the o gasket seal at the inter pipe where it fits the small junction pipe. Does this indicate a piston ring problem, or worse. Will be most gratefull for any advice. Tony

Re: oil contamination
oil in the exhaust is not good for sure.
I assume it uses oil? i.e you have to add how much per 1000 miles?
Do a compression check ( warm engine throttle open 10 turns = 10 nur nur nurs) to give you an indication of condition, you can buy the tool cheap enough
