Oil dip stick came apart! 1.6JX. Help!

Post by Gary. »

Changed the oil the other day and the dipstick plug bit came off / apart!

The problem is I'm not sure at what position along the stick the end cap goes on, so if anyone has any pictures of theirs it would help me greatly. Otherwise I'm reading the oil level at the wrong position.

Seems you have a couple of options:-

1) Drain oil out -put required amount in and remark dipstick or

2) Buy one of these....https://www.brickwerks.co.uk/t3-diesel- ... unnel.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; along with new dipstick if required.
