Pity he didn't at least reply. I imagine it sold pretty damn quick at that price. They do come up now and again, I've got a mint pair that I've had powder coated, don't need them but I don't want to be in a situation where I can't find one.

Postage will be about £15 each. I say each because together their weight will be over a certain threshold that will then cost £50.

From NWVW or BW you'll still have to lay fir them fitted.

Have you asked Michael Ghia, Simon Davey, Elvis? If they don't have one they know a lot of people in the scene.

In the end I bought a new one. MOT has expired so I need to get it done pronto as its my only vehicle. Anyone on here know how long it should take a competent garage to fit a trailing arm so that I can tell if I'm getting fair quotes? Bushes are already fitted

Depends how much remedial welding is needed on surrounding metal when they go in to take the old arm off ? .. and how far along the brake lines they have to go to renew what comes off with the old arm..

Looks solid. so fingers crossed. I shone a torch inside the trailing arm and it's as new inside apart from that small area. Perhaps the previous owner did the sensible thing putting a bit of filler!
I was banking on it being about 4 hours. Is that about right for a straight swap?

Buy new, fill the inside with Waxoyl (other rust-proofing products are available) do it once and forget it ... buy cheap and lie awake at night wondering when it will fall to pieces again.

If your trailing arms are rusty/rotten theres a very good chance the metal holding them to your van will be as well, and the metal that holds the brkts to the rest of the van. ie inner sills and outer trailing arm brkts..
