Checking the thrust washer is it a matter of putting it on a piece of glass or is it more technical then that?

Getting very complicated for me now. I had to replace the crankshaft oil seal at the flywheel end of my engine! I 'simply' removed flywheel, refitted the oil seal, then refitted the flywheel. No messing with thrust washers etc. Did I miss something?

Hi there meggles
I may get shouted at here but I've heard that if your putting the same flywheel back on then this should be ok.
I changed mine so wanted too make sure the necessary movement in the endfloat was righ as there was a few things different with the flywheel etc its worth a check whilst its all out. But I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Good to check endfloat while you are in there, many older engines will have wear and ideally need a shim change to get the float back in spec.
Too late now, do it next time you are in there.
As said if you change flywheel its a must.
