Well after an oil change and discovering bearing shell in the oil, I'm going to drop the sump and have a look at what else is lurking in there.
Trawling the 'net keeps bringing up intermediate shaft outer bearing breaking down as a common issue.
The question is, has anyone else experienced this on their diesel bus?
Is it feasible you change with the engine in situ either by cutting an access panel in the rear valance or dropping the rear of the engine - anyone done this either way?
Any advice on the easiest way, hints tips greatly appreciated!
The engine is a jr code with hydraulic head in a 1990 multivan by the way.
