Turbo oil leak, or breather, or just overfilled?

Big lumps of metals and spanners. Including servicing and fluids.

Turbo oil leak, or breather, or just overfilled?

The history:
I don't drive the van much as I'm usually fixing it.
I'm pretty sure the dipstick on my engine is not at right level. I filled it up to level once and had plumes of white smoke when going up hill. I let oil out and smoke problem was solved.
The return oil pipe failed on the turbo once and leaked oil. I didn't far before I noticed and I thought I got away with it.
I get a bit of smoke every time I start, but none after 30 seconds. Van runs lovely.

I left my van a few weeks before starting. Lots of smoke and increasing engine revs. Turned off engine but it kept on going as it fed on oil. Engine eventually stopped after about 20 very worrying seconds. I've heard of engines eating all their oil before seizing and stopping
I took the pipe off between air filter and turbo and it had plenty of oil in there.

Any tips/suggestions? I guess I should take the turbo off and check but tbh I'm not sure I'd know if the seals were gone or not.
