Radiator switch few bit damp

Post by sternal »

Evening all !

Went away for the weekend (which was really nice)

Had a look under the van with a torch usual checks and I noticed that the rad switch was a bit damp, so took off the front grill to investigate, was a tiny bit damp, no over heating or loss of water from tanks, so gave it a nip up and its seems fine now, but to be on the safe side have ordered a new one and will fit just in case the washer is knackered.

New rad and switch fitted Feb 2015

2 questions

1.Any ideas as why this may have happened ?

2. Changed before when I first got the van (old rad 3 years ago) so need memory rejoggong - when cold undo old one and quickly put new one one and nip up ?

Many thanks in advance
