Distributor vacuum lines and locations

Post by RCN »

1990 , 1.9 DG petrol, Automatic
When i replaced my engine last year it was with one that can from a Syncro. Except for the carb i was able to do a straight swap. the problem was that the original engines dizzy had one vacuum line an the syncro had two. i asked around and the consensus was to simply blank off the 2nd line. what i have discovered is that i have poor top end speed and i can only reason this blanked line is the cause.
can someone tell or provide a picture as to where this 2nd vacuum line goes to? it's not the line towards the carb, but i believe and read somewhere on here it goes towards the air intake box. i have a "T" junction and spare hose to cut and splice, just don't know where
Cheers
