Good evening, we have a camper with the 1.6 cs engine. On a trip out this weekend the pulley at the end of the cam shaft that drives the water pump belt decided to part company with the van.
I have been advised by brickwerks that this part is no longer available new.
My dilemma is whether I wait it out and see if I can find something used (any suggestions where would be welcome) or bite the bullet and change the engine?

I will have a look tomorrow, there is a CS block sitting in the trailer ready for the scrapyard, there should be one on it still.

It looks like just the pulley that drives the belt for the water pump has disintegrated, the bolts are still in place for it. The timing belt cover has a slight nick in it but it looks as though the belt has come away untouched.

If OBG can't help you then I have one.
I think you should check that the timing belt hasn't been damaged by running out of line while the pulley was coming loose. It may have been running against the inside of the belt cover. The bolts have to be tightened to a spec that I haven't got right now, and that is tighter than you can do with an ordinary hex key.

Just checked - it isn't any good as the flange on the inner edge is damaged - it will have to be plan B and see if Colin's is good.

I will remove the cover and check the belt properly at the weekend. Thanks for the advice.
