Please post a request and link in this thread if you think a Tech Advice thread is worthy of being Wiki'd...

We will do our best, but cannot guarantee everything can be written up or transferred across quickly, when it is the post asking for it will be deleted, and a list of links to new articles maintained.

Just reply and put a link in the post, it will then be considered.

Thanks

=== Wiki Technical Authors Wanted to fill in the blanks we have===

We are also looking for owners with specific knowledge of the following to write topics for the Wiki on:

Aircooled maintenance e.g. specific hints & tips on setting up aircooleds, ingition, carb types and typical faults hey develop..

DG ignition and carb variations and problems

We require accurate info (even if only your particular model) hopefully with photos if it helps comprehension

Other missing topics (red links in Wiki topic menus)

Alternatively, anyone prepared to research a topic and dig out the information would be welcome

Please PM HarryMann
Thanks

I think these would be good for the wiki? Welding to fix rusty windows:
http://forum.club8090.co.uk/viewtopic.p ... 9#p7424649" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

http://forum.club8090.co.uk/viewtopic.p ... ding+guide" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I'd saved loads of old 80-90 posts about welding, but the bookmarks don't seem to work anymore. :(

Hi HarryMan, Glad you like it, We put the pictures on photobucket as appeared to be the easiest way store the images. If you have any suggestions or recommendations they can easily be moved to a more preferable place.

Thanks

the difference between the pre '86 clutch slave cylinder pipes. the pre '86 is a flexipipe, a bracket and a solid "brakes pipe" the later upgrade is the £18 plastic pipe from the clutch pipe on the chassis directly to the clutch slave.

I got the answers here after an age - it has been a reply to several queries on here since. sorry no links I think baxter sells them and they are difficult to get from VW since they declared the camper as a "Commercial van" and therefore no part from the normal dealerships.
