1985 Westfalia T25. Current mileage 273404 km ( 33,000 km on reconditioned engine 2011 )
1.9 fuel injection dual fuel petrol / LPG. Water-cooled.

I have owned this van for 11 years. Have spent many thousands restoring and maintaining it over the years and always aimed to make it the best it could be. Reluctantly selling as no longer use as much as I did and moving to a city. It had a reconditioned engine and gearbox in 2012 and has done 21,000 miles since then. MOT until December 2019 passed with no advisories. It is left hand drive but I have not found this problem on UK roads.
It has been converted to dual fuel runs on petrol and LPG (60-70p a litre). It has an underslung leisure gas tank which fuels the cooker and fridge ( fridge also runs on mains hook up) and a Propex gas hot air heater with thermostat which keeps it nice and warm on chilly nights. There are also double glazed windows in rear part of van so no condensation and good insulation. The high top slides out to create a double bed which I have slept in but really better for children. The 3/4 size rock and roll bed has memory foam toppers making it comfortable.
The front passenger seat rotates to face rear when camping. There are 2 rear lap belts. Excellent storage in high top when not in use as bed and a wardrobe and many other cupboards.
Westfalia's were really well designed and maximum use is made of the space. Mains hook up and 12V LED lighting. Leisure battery. 2 hob cooker and fridge and sink which features a draining board. Plug socket to enable use and charging of 240v electrical equipment when hooked up to mains. A built in battery charger which charges both batteries while connected to mains. It has been regularly maintained by VW expert.
