Syncro currently has the wrong number of wheels, even by your reckoning...

Re: The SA 2.6i Microbus thread
OK so it's still hanging around and I still love it, yeah yeah yeah....
I think that I may have finally found the early 2.6 SA front disc in the National Brake catalogue!!!!
Flash of inspiration: late 80's Merc, same wheel stud pattern as T3, SA were using run-out components from here there and everywhere:
Merc W201 (aka 190) 2.3 petrol & 2.5 TD, 86-94 Dia 262.0, 22.0 thk, 20.0min thk, 45.0 tall, 67.0 bore, 5+3 holes (I'll ignore the +3 retaining screws)
Part no. NBD 233

Re: The SA 2.6i Microbus thread
Wrong about the discs. Again
Keep reverting back to the mk3 Granada 4x4. They are as close as I can get, the calipers may have to be fettled becasue they are 24mm thick and will also have to be spaced outboard about 4 -5mm, but at least the SA wheels should allow this and the discs are easily available.
F0rd pads, F0rd discs...

Re: The SA 2.6i Microbus thread
In the meantime, the bus is my daily driver again
A wbx parts delivery made me go looking for another bit that was squirrelled away, in the process I unearthed this "dormant" project
Audi 90 dash from 1986.
The problem as ever is the master cylinder/servo, I am still thinking on that (remote servo under passenger side dash)
In the meantime, investigate the wiring.
I have the lighting/starting/wiper loom (12 pin connector) but not the engine loom that covers DOPWS or gauge signals and warning lamps (10 pin):
ETKA suggests that the other plug is one of two, but there may be identical ones with other part numbers:
I am inclined to think that it is the 113... part number rather than the 443... item, going by the pictorial guide in the loom parts lists of ETKA.
Where will I get one of those plugs and a set of terminals?

Re: The SA 2.6i Microbus thread
would it be possible to move the pedal box forward a tad on its mounts? Just 20-30mm would help and I have always found the pedals to be a bit too high anyway...

Re: The SA 2.6i Microbus thread
That terminal block stuck on the end of your thumb looks like a generic AMP product. Perhaps an auto electrical place similar to these may help?

Re: The SA 2.6i Microbus thread
Putting the 113 971 998A part number into gogggle throws up this handy page
http://www.kvquattro.com/digidashconversion.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
with pinouts for the two plugs (the other being 443 972 956 which is black) but the dash unit ia identical to the unit I have got here

Re: The SA 2.6i Microbus thread
"Audi dash connector 113971998A" features in this list too...
http://www.clubgti.com/showthread.php?2 ... n-Paraguay" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
But swapping Audi for VW finds this
http://www.paruzzi.com/de/vwcp/?subgroup=971" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Who appear to be a Classic parts reseller. One for BW then.
Looks like the flat contact part no is 000979102

Re: The SA 2.6i Microbus thread
I have asked Notter if these discs are a direct swap for 22S 615 301 on the 1995 2.6i http://tdi-umbau.com/bremsen-2wd/bremsa ... se-t3.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
They look very VAG or Mercedes-like to me... whatever I really do need to get some fresh discs asap.
ETKA only lists one front vented disc for the 2.6i but there are definitely two vented disc kits for sale out there claiming to be SA Unless the syncro version is an "invented" kit using SA calipers and a larger VAG disc to make it all work?
PS Notter say that they are correct for 2wd T3ZA

Re: The SA 2.6i Microbus thread
Hot news! I had been given a bumsteer years ago by the fact that there were two disc sizes for the Grandad 2.9i 4x4...
The SA appears to use the smaller 260mm version and at this price its worth a go. I have to open up the centrebore to 66.5mm but thats a 5min job

Wrong!
Wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong!
Parallax is a dangerous thing. The discs are 276mm dia.
I'll be sending the Grandads back then...
