Hi
Am looking to relieve some stress by fitting a taller ratio gearbox
I currently have my original CS engine 4 speed gearbox ..... the DH isn't on the RJES guide
Aidan did suggest t=the best would be a DK - is the DH in same territory ?
Matt

Re: DH Gearbox ??? revvy or not ?
The DH gearbox was fitted to the 1600cc CT engined vans. The bigger 2000 CU engined vans with a DK box had the same ratios, the difference was the final drive, 32/7 rather than 38/7.
That's the facts, the answer is yes, the DH gearbox is revvy, it's geared at 16.5 mph / 1000 rpm rather than the 20 mph of the CU. That's longer than the WBX boxes too

...not sure what you mean by a CS engine though

CS is the 1.6 N/A diesel; in the early vans to 1983 they had the DM code gearbox which is the same as the DH but with diesel bellhousing and input shaft
