Hi
Not sure if I need to connect ...or not this wire... or what it does.
Richard sent me a sheet explaining the harness connections to my 2 speed cooling fan from the front extension harness.
I just have the option to connect / or not the wires near the ecu loom labelled NP.
What does NP stand for and what does it do ?
I have already sent an e mail to Richard but couldn't help asking here in case anyone who's done it knows
Ps - I don't yet know where to stick my lambada sensor... can't see where it screws into the downpipes - what did you do with yours and any clever ideas to knock up a cheap exhaust ?? I have a suzuki can and some pipe
Thanks
Matt
Thanks
Matt

I don't know about the NP wire, but am sure Richard will get back to you on that.
Lambda sensor can go into the exhaust pipe somewhere just before the silencer, but not way before it. If youre using the Subaru down pipes, probably somewhere around where they join left and right banks Together. You can buy a lambda boss , which is just something to screw it into, which you'll need to weld into the pipe [THUMBS UP SIGN]

Re: NP wire on RJES Loom
Thanks
I have a subaru manifold but theres no boss for the rumbaba sensor - so I will wield a boss in the exhaust pipe just after the join
Thanks for the advice

Re: NP wire on RJES Loom
itll fire up and run without the labamba sensor, but itll be in a sort of limp mode (though no speed limiting I don't think) - it just wont be altering the mixture. and itll give an error code. I ran it for a few weeks without one, so don't let it halt your progress completely

Re: NP wire on RJES Loom
NP is neutral position (a switch on the auto box) iirc
Lambda sensor should be placed reasonably close to the manifold/downpipe joint, say just after the 4-2-1 collector, so it heats up fast and also responds quickly to changing engine load.

Re: NP wire on RJES Loom
Thanks,
Mines a manual donor car, so I guess i don't connect the np wire.
What does it do anyway ?
Thanks again

Re: NP wire on RJES Loom
I believe that it tells the ecu that the transmission is in neutral, which then alters the fuelling to an ultra-lean mixture for cleaner emissions.
